Leslie Alan Waltman, of Boynton Beach, Florida, formerly of Cincinnati, Ohio, age 80, passed away suddenly on Sunday morning, February 19, 2023, at Delray Medical Center. He was born on August 4, 1942, in Brooklyn, New York, and was predeceased by his parents Jack and Hilda (Suntag) Waltman. An excellent student, he attended Oceanside High School and graduated with the class of 1959, at the age of 16. Leslie earned his undergraduate degree in Materials Management Engineering, at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI), class of 1963. As an undergraduate, he was a member of Tau Epsilon Phi Fraternity. He earned his Masters Degree also at RPI in 1964. Leslie worked at General Electric Aircraft Engines, in the Northeast and the Midwest from June 1964, retiring in January 2000. He rose within the ranks of management to oversee computer operations and materials management at the Evendale, Ohio facility.
Leslie was a longtime member of Valley Temple, in Cincinnati, Ohio, since 1973. He volunteered at the Computer Learning Center in Boynton Beach, Florida, was a member of the GE Elfun Society, and was very active in The Cascades Community in Boynton Beach, Florida. Leslie played golf, pickleball, and was an avid tennis player.
Leslie was the loving partner of Marilyn Tupler, beloved father of Tracy (Bradley) Schusterman and Jeffrey (Michelle) Waltman, adored grandfather of Aaron and Alex Schusterman, Samantha and Madison Waltman, and beloved brother of Karen Heuman. Contributions in his memory may be made to Valley Temple, in Cincinnati, Ohio. A memorial service will be held on March 12, 2023, at 10:30 AM, at Indian Spring Country Club in Boynton Beach, Florida.
