Is somebody in your life expecting a baby? If that person is a family member or a neighbor or friend, you are cordially invited to let them know about an upcoming class, “Expecting Jewish Baby,” on three successive Monday nights beginning Jan. 27 followed by Shabbat dinner on Feb. 21 at Wise Temple. This will be a wonderful opportunity for expecting parents to meet with other expecting parents and learn together how to prepare for their Jewish family.
Join pediatrician Dr. Andrea Rinderknecht for a class series filled with information, warmth and community. Discuss various topics including feeding your baby, caring for your baby, and caring for yourselves as parents. There will also be a segment covering how to welcome your Jewish baby including Jewish traditions such as naming and brit ceremonies.
Healthy snacks and drinks will be provided. This class welcomes Temple congregants and others in the Jewish community and encourages anyone expecting a Jewish baby to attend. The class will be valuable for first time parents or parents who already have other children.
This class will supply a comforting and safe environment to prepare for your baby and will address the questions that are on your minds during question and answer sessions.
