MTV found a way to turn the ordinary television set into a multi-sensory experience that would forever change the way people engaged with music. In much the same way, HHTV, the brainchild of Rabbi Miriam Terlinchamp and Temple Sholom, uses the television as a platform for bringing the spirit of the Jewish High Holidays to the public.
Now people throughout Greater Cincinnati will have the opportunity to share in the beauty of Judaism as part of a universal and groundbreaking Evening of Awe. The one-night event will feature the JustLOVE Band and will premiere on WLWT TV/MeTV on Sunday, Sept. 20 at 6-7pm.
“Through storytelling, poetry and original music, this program will enable viewers to engage with High Holy Day text and liturgy in unique and inspiring ways,” explained Rabbi Terlinchamp. “Our aim is to help participants draw meaningful connections between the High Holy Day themes and the challenges we face in our current times,” she added. “This program will debut on the second night of Rosh Hashanah as an added supplement for those who plan to attend traditional services, or as an alternative for those looking for something completely different to nourish them spiritually.”
The Evening of Awe is available to all people who are interested in being part of an uplifting, meaningful service sourced in the Jewish tradition.
