Shared Business Services (SBS) has hired Rita Altimari as director of Human Resources.
SBS provides a full range of consolidated business services, including finance/accounting, payroll, benefits and HR administration, and business planning functions for Jewish nonprofit agencies, congregations, and schools. Managed by the Jewish Federation of Cincinnati with funding from The Jewish Foundation of Cincinnati, SBS helps its clients enhance their business processes and decisions, allowing them to focus on their mission-driven work.
Altimari brings deep human resource knowledge to the HR operations emphasizing quality, continuous improvement, and high performance in support of the organization’s objectives.

In the role, Altimari will lead and implement performance management processes and career development and training; maintain and implement robust hiring and recruiting processes; maintain and facilitate positive relations between employees and management; ensure a competitive and equitable compensation and benefits structure; and drive legal compliance with relevant employment regulations.
Altimari comes to the Jewish Federation with a wealth of human resource and employment law experience, having spent the past 20 years at Southwest Financial Services (SFS) and Solidifi US Inc., which acquired SFS in 2015, in various roles including director of human resources, general counsel, and chief compliance officer.
She received her juris doctor degree from the University of Toledo College of Law. Altimari lives in Anderson Township with her husband; their son attends the University of Indiana.
