Ohr Torah Cincinnati is busy this summer moving into a new school building.

The school, which was at 6442 Stover Ave. in Golf Manor Synagogue, has reportedly bought the old Howard Elementary School from the Deer Park Community Schools.

According to sources, the school is officially moving in on July 1 and will conduct classes there this coming school year. The address for the new school is 4131 Matson Ave., Deer Park.

Jake Snyder, the director of Communications for Deer Park schools, said Ohr Torah approached the district about buying the building.

Snyder said the sale price was $325,000.

“It fit their price range, I imagine, and fit their needs,” he said.

He said the Deer Park board of education approved the sale on June 4. The district passed a bond issue in 2017 to renovate and expand Amity Elementary which made the Howard school building “meaningless.” It was originally slated to be demolished, but Ohr Torah submitted an option to buy the property.
