A musical and contemporary Rosh Hashanah experience is planned for Sunday September 25 at 6:00 p.m. at the 20th Century Theatre on Madison Road in Oakley. The Valley Temple is hosting the event.  Members of the synagogue's Friday Night Live band will provide the music, complete with a mix of contemporary Jewish composers and a few traditional melodies. No prayer books, no sermons, lots of good feelings. All are welcome.

The goal of the early Rosh Hashanah experience is to provide the Jewish community — especially the unaffiliated community, with an opportunity to reconnect with the High Holy Days in a warm and friendly way. The 20th Century Theatre was chosen as the venue for the opportunity to have a service in the Oakley/Hyde Park neighborhood. The venue is large enough to allow for people to spread out, yet intimate enough to allow for an intimate feeling in the space.

The experience is made possible by a innovation grant from the Jewish Federation of Cincinnati.
