The Jewish Hospital’s free Walk with a Doc program at Kenwood Towne Centre resumes on Thursday, July 9, 2020 at 10 a.m., when primary care doctor Barry Brook, MD will discuss COVID-19.

The mall is located at 7875 Montgomery Road. Walkers will meet at The Jewish Hospital’s Walk with a Doc booth located in front of Anthropologie near Nordstrom’s inside entrance. New walkers get a free t-shirt and a pedometer to log their steps. Walkers should bring their own masks. If you don’t have one, one will be provided, and social distancing will be maintained during the talk and the walk.

A coronavirus called SARS-CoV-2 causes COVID-19, which has caused nearly 3,000 deaths in Ohio.  While older adults and people who have severe underlying medical conditions such as heart or lung disease or diabetes seem to be at higher risk for developing more serious complications from COVID-19, it now seems to be affecting younger people and children in greater numbers. Dr. Brook will discuss what we know thus far about COVID-19, its effect on patients, available treatment options and things you need to continue to do to protect yourself and your loved from catching this illness.

Led by a variety of physicians and other health professionals representing a wide array of health, wellness and fitness-related expertise, the walks start with a brief and informative talk before walking.

The program is free and does not require pre-registration
