Ann and Neil Wasserman of Blue Ash and Michael Bernstein of Indianapolis are proud and delighted to announce the engagement of their daughter Lauren Jill Bernstein of Cincinnati to Sean McPherson McGill of Cincinnati, son of Mert and Tricia McGill of Springboro, Ohio.
Lauren is the granddaughter of Lois and Ed Drill of Amberley Village and the late Bob and Janet Bernstein of Highland Park, Illinois. Sean is the grandson of the late Genevieve and Henderson Smith and the late Alta and William McGill.
Lauren graduated with her bachelor’s degree from Emory University and her Master’s of Education degree from the University of Cincinnati. She is a high school teacher. Sean graduated with his bachelor’s degree from the University of Cincinnati and works in information technology.
A December 2019 wedding is planned in Cincinnati.
Ann and Neil and Michael are proud and delighted to also announce the engagement of their son, Mark Andrew Bernstein, to Rachel Ariella Hirsch, daughter of Cindy and Ed Hirsch of Sandy Springs, Georgia.
Mark is the grandson of Lois and Ed Drill of Amberley Village and the late Bob and Janet Bernstein of Highland Park, Illinois. Rachel is the granddaughter of Sandi and Bernie Lynn of Boynton Beach, Florida and the late Helen and Al Hirsch of North Miami Beach.
Mark graduated with his bachelor’s degree from Emory University and his juris doctor degree from Northern Kentucky University Salmon P. Chase College of Law. He is an attorney working in international tax in Atlanta. Rachel graduated with both her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in speech and language pathology from the University of Alabama. She is a certified speech-language pathologist working in Atlanta. A June 2020 wedding is planned in Atlanta.
Rae Dick and Stuart Oberman married in May at the Manor House in Mason. Rabbi Sissy Coran of Rockdale Temple performed the ceremony.
Rae is the daughter of Darryl and Bonnie Dick of Cincinnati, granddaughter of Maurice and Erva Dick of Cincinnati and Sandy and the late Harold Rib of Lady Lake, Florida. Stuart Oberman is the son of Rhonda and Andy Oberman of St. Louis, grandson of Florence and Louis Krupat of Toronto, and Stanley and the late Sandra Oberman of St. Louis.
The couple met in Columbus on J-Swipe and continue to live there. Rachel is a speech pathologist for Columbus City Schools and Stuart is a manager with Enterprise Car Rental.
Ken and Leah/Lois Germain will be celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary with their supportive Shevet Achim community on Shabbat Ha-avinu on Oct. 11-12. They are very grateful that they are in good health and so much in sync.
They get special pleasure from having their sons (Harvey/Alex and David/Davey), their daughter-in-law (Marie), and their SIX grandchildren (Abby, Ben, Maddie, Aiyana, Roux, and Beau) nearby and always in touch.
